Louisiana Downs Announces Schooling Race Dates

Schooling races for Mardi Gras' nominated two-year-olds will begin at 11 a.m., Friday, January 29. Trainers must call the Harrah's Louisiana Downs Racing office to enter no later than Monday, January 25.
Schooling races for Harrah's Entertainment QH Futurity(G3) nominated two-year-old will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 5. Trainers must call the Harrah's Louisiana Downs Racing office to enter no later than Monday, February 1.
To be eligible for a schooling race all two-year-olds must have a gate okay and a tattoo. For any horses not approved by the starter, their trainer must contact the starter and set an appointment to return for a gate okay.

All trainers must have proof of workers compensation insurance coverage at the time of entry. No exceptions will be made.
First time starters at Louisiana Downs must be tattooed to be approved from the starting gage and they are required to have two published works, one of which must be approved from the starting gate within 60 days of the race date and foal certificates must be registered in the racing office.
Trials for the 2016 Mardi Gras Futurity(RG2) are set for Saturday, February 20 and the final will be run back Saturday, March 12. Trials for the Harrah's Entertainment QH Futurity(G3) are set for Tuesday, March 1 and the final will be run back Wednesday, March 23.
