Delta Downs will add $250,000 and LQHBA will add $100,000 from video poker funds to make the annual race a $350,000-added event. Trial purses are estimated to remain the same at $12,000 each for 2020.
The dream of LQHBA President Ryan Robicheaux has become a reality.
"The Lee Berwick will now join the LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity(RG1) as the second Million-Dollar race for Louisiana-Bred 2-year-olds," Robicheuax said today. "Thanks to Chris Warren, John Simon and the LQHBA team for working to make this a reality."
