Louisiana Downs Cancels Thursday Race Card Due to Expected Weather Conditions


Track management at Louisiana Downs have canceled Wednesday's race card.

BOSSIER CITY, LA–JANUARY 17, 2024–Due to a forecast of prolonged freezing temperatures in the immediate area, Louisiana Downs Management has canceled its race card for Thursday, January 18, 2024.

"We feel that these conditions will present traveling difficulties, as well as unsafe track conditions," Jennifer Sokol, Louisiana Downs Racing Operations Manager said in a press release. "As always, our first and foremost concern is for the safety of our human and equine athletes. We are confident that we will resume racing on Tuesday, January 23, 2024."
